PINK FLOWERS WITH BLACK HEARTS #poetry by jay

Pink flowers with black hearts

don’t be fooled by the beauty

petals forgone

Laughter insidious

forgotten sun

earthen wares full of gin

Sheer shuttled

niceties play

along your skin

Pink flowers forgotten

left handed fools

with right sided grins

Night shaves the dark

as pigeons prick and piddle

the legs of chickens skin

Poisoned pretty lady

ladles the night shaded

cupped and dripping thin.

  1. Oh, lovely, Jay. “Night shaves the dark as pigeons prick and piddle the legs of chickens skin. Poisoned pretty lady ladles the night shaded cupped and dripping thin.” You are so talented at this, forming just the right combination of words. And of course, the allusions to poisons. Nightshade. Well done.
