Beholden by a breath so sweet
I received
the daylight silent
still, mine to greet
I received
a love, a light from
beside my heart
deep under
the brush and firmament
I received
you, forever
etched into my skin
him small and wimpering
I received
this day with a breath
so sweet,
I received
my love.
